I have two ring pro video doorbells connected to a mechanical chime.
Problems can arise however when a doorbell mechanism draws so much power that there s not enough left over to power your ring video doorbell pro.
I started by using the 16v 10va transformer that came with the chime.
Disconnecting power causes two major problems.
Disconnected the ring doorbell and reinstalled old doorbell button.
For ring pro to function correctly the voltage needs to be listed as good or when you tap it at least 3 900mv.
Second the indoor chime won t ring when someone hits the doorbell.
So as a sanity check i tested the downstairs chime box i left the upstairs box disconnected and still received buzzing.
Looking online there seem to be plenty of reports of people having trouble with buzzing chimes usually when they first connect the doorbell and sometimes after a month or two.
I replaced the doorbell chime with a heath zenith 2735 from the approved list same issue.

I then replaced the transformer with a new 16v 30va transformer recommended for ring same issue.
First the ring device will no longer charge.
